Running in the summer with a drink belt

As the sun graces the sky with its warm embrace, it's time to lace up my running shoes and hit the pavement. Summer brings with it a unique charm that beckons runners to explore the outdoors, soak in the sunshine, and embrace the joy of running amidst nature's beauty. I want to share my personal experience with running in the summer, the challenges and rewards it brings, and the tips that have helped me make the most of this invigorating season.

Embracing the Early Mornings:

  1. The summer sun can be relentless, and temperatures rise as the day progresses. To beat the heat, I've learned to embrace the early mornings for my runs. The crispness in the air and the gentle glow of sunrise create a serene ambiance that energizes my spirit. Starting my day with a refreshing run not only helps me stay cool but also sets a positive tone for the rest of the day.

Hydration: The Key to Summer Running Success:

  1. One of the biggest challenges of summer running in the summer is staying hydrated. Sweating profusely under the sun can quickly deplete the body of fluids, leading to fatigue and potential health risks. I make sure to hydrate properly before, during, and after my runs. With my 4KAAD thermo belt, I've been able to consume enough water thanks to its convenient size, and model. The belt is so lightweight, with an adjustable body strap to buckle around your waist. Planning my routes near water fountains, and incorporating electrolyte-rich drinks have been game-changers in maintaining my energy levels and preventing dehydration.

Choosing the Right Apparel:

  1. The sweltering heat calls for choosing the right running apparel that keeps me cool and comfortable. Opting for lightweight, breathable fabrics and moisture-wicking materials helps regulate body temperature and allows sweat to evaporate, keeping me dry throughout the run. Donning a hat or sunglasses also provides extra protection against the sun's glare and UV rays. Having a good pair of sports glasses are a must have for this summer’s heat! Lightweight design, with 100% UV protective lens is a vital part of your running gear. 4KAAD has provided me with multiple different styles, as well as color options to get my glasses on point! My favorite has been the Pulse Active model, as its thin frame and the vibrant color together with the lens make it my favorite accessory when exercising.

Exploring Nature's Beauty:

  1. One of the most delightful aspects of summer running is the opportunity to connect with nature. Parks, trails, and scenic routes offer a stunning backdrop of blooming flowers, vibrant greenery, and sparkling bodies of water. Immersing myself in this natural splendor not only makes the run more enjoyable but also adds a sense of tranquility and peace to my mind.

Embracing the sports

  1. Sometimes, I like to switch my running to Nordic walking! My recommendation for good nordic walking poles is the STEP 20, or STEP 50 pole from 4KAAD. The lightweight shaft together with its comfortable straps, as well as easy Change-it tip system, you easily change the tip of the pole adjusted to your needs!

The 4KAADthermo belt keeps cold drinks cold during running, fowm and foil isolation. Small bag for your mobile phone and keys. Easy adjustment with the hip belt.

Adjusting Expectations:

  1. While summer running can be incredibly invigorating, it's essential to adjust expectations and pace in response to the heat. Understanding that higher temperatures can affect performance and endurance has helped me avoid frustration and set realistic goals. Embracing a more relaxed pace, incorporating walk breaks, or splitting runs into cooler parts of the day have allowed me to maintain consistency and enjoy my summer running journey to the fullest.
